Dogs, by definition, are social creatures

Will you walk with your dog on our social walks? Also available for English speaking people.

Dogs, by definition, are social creatures.

It is important to know how dogs communicate in relation to each other. Nowadays, we see a lot of miscommunication between dogs because they are not learning to communicate doglike.

  • Dogs hiding behind their owners.
  • Dogs that often end up in small fights
  • Dogs that are insecure and off themselves.
  • Dogs lying down at a distance from another dog in anticipation of the encounter
  • Stray dogs
  • Dogs running hard at another dog
  • Dogs that are very busy and show clown behavior in front of other dogs.

All signs of fewer social skills.

During social walks Van Stal talks about social interactions.

How do you provide a comfortable walk, what do you do and what do you teach your dog?

How to provide a safe and interactive walk between you and your dog without fuss.
This is done in safe environments, to provide as much space and choices that dogs need.

*If you have a dog that has difficulty being relaxed around other dogs, we recommend you participate in the reactive dog course first, then the reactive dog follow-up walks are more appropriate.

Why does miscommunication arise between dogs

What will you learn during the social walks?

  • How to create a relaxed and enjoyable walk for you and your dog.
  • How to recognize and prevent situations that may lead to tension or miscommunication.
  • How to support your dog in situations that cause stress or anxiety.

The walks take place in a safe environment, with plenty of space and options for the dogs to make their own choices.

For reactive dogs

If your dog shows reactive behaviour towards other dogs, we recommend starting with our reactive dogs course.
